Introduction
Ding Now is a software company specializing in web and mobile apps in the food industry.

My Role
As the Lead UI/UX Designer and cofounder, I helped refine the app concepts and designed the UI/UX.

The Problem
The original concept was a mobile app that allowed you to page the wait staff, let the wait staff know you’d like to not be disturbed, ask for the check, look at the menu, order, ask for togo boxes, and sign up for discounts. This solved the age old problem of waiting for the staff to see you or come by to check on you to complete all of these tasks. It also allowed for upsell and loyalty programs for each participating restaurant.
This idea was eventually abandoned for various reasons and we pivoted to an app that allows restaurants and guests to upload videos of your meal and restaurant  experience. This allows potential guests to experience the visuals and the ambiance, as well as the look of the food of the restaurant when choosing where to dine.

The Goal
The goal was to be the first to market in this niche.

Impact
This app is still in development.

Early Ideation
This design utilizes cards and material design to guide the user with simple UI easy to fine buttons with bold colors

Testing
As a small startup, we leaned on friends, family, and colleagues to try out the beta. They provided invaluable feedback and guided future iterations.

Final Designs
Here are some of the final designs created with the Adobe suite.

Development
Working hand in hand with the development and QA teams for over a year, we took this project from moodboards and hand drawn wireframes to a fully working mobile and web app beta.

Future Steps
We will continue to iterate and refine the app until launch.
